Sky Metals: High-Grade Tin Hits and Tungsten Upside at Tallebung
Sky Metals (ASX: SKY) Managing Director and CEO Oliver Davies discusses the latest drilling at the Tallebung tin-tungsten-silver project in central New South Wales, including shallow, high-grade results and the company’s plans for further resource growth.
The update includes an interval of 17 metres at 0.7% tin, with a higher-grade 4-metre section at around 2.5% tin. Davies also talks about coarse wolframite mineralisation seen in diamond core, and why the company considers it favourable for processing. More drilling is underway, with results expected from the programme.
The conversation covers the potential role of shallow tungsten zones in Tallebung’s development, market demand for tin and tungsten, and Sky Metals’ exploration plans at Theemans, around 20 kilometres north of Tallebung. Theemans has returned high-grade tungsten rock-chip results and has not yet had modern drilling.
Oliver Davies also discusses upcoming milestones as the company works to grow the project and progress its plans. Project economics, development timing and future production remain subject to further work, approvals and other risks.
